LED CHAPI Heliport Approach Path Indicators and PAPI/APAPI Airport Precision Approach Path Indicators, provide the pilot with a safe and accurate glide slope on the final approach to the helipad/runway. A row of CHAPI/PAPI light housing assemblies placed perpendicular to the approach path are seen by the pilot in combinations of white, (green) and red to indicate a path that is too high, too low, or correctly on the slope.
